Machame Route – 5NIGHTS /6 DAYS (From $1,490)

Machame Route

While the Marangu route is dubbed as the “Coca-cola” route, The machame Trail is known as the “Whisky Route”. It’s a fantastic opportunity to taste your mountain skills and high altitude experience.
Although it’s a more expensive ascent because all camping gear has to be carried up the mountain camping sites, the views are highly rewarding allowing the climber a much leisurely intoxicating hiking pace.
This forest and Moorland route is by far easier and better for acclimatizing, besides having the most scenic vistas on the mountain, you have a one hour advantage less than Marangu trail on the summit night.
Although sleeping on mats in tents might feel a bit uncomfortable, you will have a 95% chance of getting to the summit top, and ¾ views of the Kilimanjaro massif.
